To support your product research and/or development PTG/e offers sophisticated analysis techniques and expertise.
We can use different analysis techniques to identify your materials, both on micro and macro level:
Spectroscopy:  e.g. AAS, UV-VIS-NIR, ATR-FTIR, NMR
Spectrometry: e.g. GC/MS, MALDI-Tof/MS
Microscopy: e.g. OM, FM, SEM, AFM
Chromatography: e.g. GC, HPLC, SEC
Thermal analysis: e.g. TGA, DSC, DMTA, TMA
Mechanical analysis: e.g. Izod, stress/strain curve, Shore hardness, rheology, MFI
Furthermore PTG/e has polymerization facilities to synthesize homo/copolymer. Following types of polymerization can be conducted: • Thermal polymerization; • Ionic polymerization; • Radical polymerization (solution, emulsion, suspension). With current reactors it is possible to synthesize polymer up to a maximum batch size of 5 kg.
Also equipment for processing plastics and polymers is available. Some examples: • Single/Double screw extruders • Mini extruder (batch size 5 gram) • Injection molding machinery • Plate press • Film blowing line
